~ Completed Projects ~

This once original ‘49 Ford came to us in great shape, with a good start on converting it to a Sunday cruiser. Prior to arriving at our shop there was a 74 nova front clip spliced into the front frame rails to update the steering and ride quality. We took that one step further, installing tubular control arms, coilover shocks, a new sway bar, 2” drop spindles, disk brakes and a rack and pinion conversion. To obtain the “coke can” ride height we put the car on a frame table and went to work. The result was a custom rear frame with 4-link, sway bar, wishbone locator, disk brakes and coilovers. Of course what's a ‘49 Ford with out 22” wide rear tires? Being a bit short on space we put a new stainless steel fuel tank under the rear trunk floor. Once it was on the ground the project was put on hold by request of the owner. Over the next few months the car changed ownership and has recently been put back into the work rotation. As of recent we picked up a GM 6.2L motor and 700R4 transmission for the ol’ ‘49 to help it move down Broadway.
