This 1955 Chevy Belair has been converted
into a pro street cruiser. We started by cutting the rear of the car out
and building a fully adjustable 4-link suspension narrow enough to fit
33x22x15 tires. The 580 cubic inch big block Chevy puts out a street
friendly 840hp when the fuel cell is filled with premium fuel. When hit
with a spray of nitrous that jumps to 940hp. All that power exits the
motor thru a turbo 400 transition to a ford 9” rear differential.
Keeping that horsepower decibel friendly are custom built headers and
3.5” exhaust fitted with an x-pipe, spintech mufflers, oval side exit
and 4” electric cut-outs . That power is guided down the road thanks to
a mustang II front suspension, and kept under control with disk brakes.
Top that off with a fiberglass flip front clip, power steering, aluminum
interior panels 6 point roll bar with swing outs and corbeau seats and
there is just the right amount of race car packed inside this street
machine.
